    Colonoscopy...finally!

You can get Crohn's in the stomach. I hope you get more answers from the Dr. Definitely ask about/voice your concerns about her growth. How tall is she? I have always been short...only 5ft tall and fully grown. I am the shortest in my entire family on both sides. Just wondering if she will be...

Frustration with lack of objective evidence

I cannot diagnose you, but I do not believe it is in your head. Even if your scope comes out clean you can still have damaging inflammation in other areas that the scope can't see. Keep pushing them to find out what the issue is or get you on a medication that works for you.

So my doctor is questioning my diagnosis after 11 years.

I don't know why he would tell you that. I hope you still push for the scopes. I would want a different Dr I think.

    Crohn's Disease and jobs/unemployment

Did you miss too many days of work...putting you on bad terms with their attendance policy??? Are you able to contest the denied claim? Can you apply for disability? Maybe talk to a lawyer if you feel you were wrongly fired.

    Frequency of colonoscopies?

I just had my 2nd one...7 years after the first and I am in remission. He said it was to assess any damage or inflammation that the blood tests don't show. Mine showed scarring all where the inflammation was.

    Medications

I have been on many different meds at different times. Went through quite a few at the beginning until we found something that seems to work. Entocort seems to work to get me out of a flare still. Currently I take Colazal 2 times a day and Prilosec 1-2 times a day.

    Discouraged about diets

I agree. My Dr told me there is no diet for Crohn's, but there are things that might bother me so avoid them. Common triggers for me are spicy, greasy, high fiber, and fried foods plus beef, lettuce, dairy, popcorn if eaten a lot. If gluten bothers you definitely stay away from it. I do feel...
