First I want to say :welcome: We might not be lucky in haveing to battle Crohns but we all are lucky to be here! Mouth Ulcers?

Never got them myself as of yet, but i Just thought, have you tried orajel maybe? It is for mouth sores and toothaches. Other than that the warm salt water might not taste good, but it will help heal it faster and is supposed to help cut down on pain. Like I said, not sure because this is one...

    Prograf

also, it does say that it is an immunosuppressive so I suppose it might help with Crohns... hopefully Colt gets to this thread soon, he seems to be the offical "forum Dr"

    Prograf

I never heard of it either, but I just googled it and from what I found it is used to prevent your body from rejecting an organ transplant... umm I will just copy and paste what I found on the website and give you a link to it .. Prograf® (tacrolimus) is indicated for the prophylaxis of organ...

    Cancer?!

Thanks for all the input, I don't know why it has always been such a worry to me, I don't have anyone in my family tree as far as I know of who has had cancer so I suppose the odds of me being one of the unlucky ones is slim to none as far as I know. I would really like to know more about this...

Are you a Lefty or Righty (Believe it or not, Crohn's Related!)

Im not the best with math but I do see what you are saying and even though math was and is far from my best subject I'd have to agree. 16.9% of the people here being left handed could very well prove that left handed people seem to have higher odds.

Are you a Lefty or Righty (Believe it or not, Crohn's Related!)

Im a rightie and just for the record another "statistic" that went horriably wrong I suppose.... I love proving people wrong, glad to see we are doing such a great job of it on here lmao!

Can crohn's be treated without the use of medication?

Meds are a must have I think, to go without them is asking.... actually begging for troubble I think

    Mouth Ulcers

Never have had them, took this poll though just to see what the odds are and I must say it seems to be something I should look forward to having one day... oh, the joy this illness brings

    New to everything

For you and kello both, as well as anyone else looking to go to college, try thinking about online schools, there are alot of them out there and you can work at your own pace. I threw alot of options away when I was younger, I'm only 24 now but getting my health under control as it gets worse...

    Started tysabri

Hope it gets better and better for ya, from reading though all the post's you have wrote, I'd say you definately deserve a breakthrough gurlie! Thankx for bringing this little known of treatment to my attention, yet another one to write down and take notes on to pass along to my Dr. Keep us up...

    1890's drug

Well, I didn't really know where to put this around here, but I found it to be very interesting when I read it and thought everyone here should also read it. It really makes you stop and think about the old saying "if it's not broke don't fix it" It might not say "for Crohns" but it is more for...

    Naltrexone

Wow, for the most part this stuff really does sound like a "wonder drug" I am sure the Dr will want to put me through every other option first but with me living only 2 hours from pittsburgh PA and going there all the time, I might be able to skip the other treatment options and go right to this...

My boyfriend with crohn's low sex drive?

Hello and :welcome: I think Drew gave you the best advise here, I'm guessing a guys point of view would be better here, but I could also add that it could be somewhat depression related or just emotional in general. Maybe not to the point of needing prozac or a fancy white coat Dr to talk to...

    Night Sweats?

hmm, that sounds alot like what happens to me, but mine are more of really bad dizziness with the heart speeding up episodes... then at night I'll wake up in a cold sweat... can't say it has all happened at once, then again like you said 10+ times a day and seriously I am usually just happy when...
