I feel more discomfort than pain now. It's not like we can forget about setons, is it. Kinda hard to ignore. :D As I get use to them I am doing more. The one consistent thing is the pain getting in and out of vehicles. Trying not to drag the setons and tug on them. That's a bit uncomfortable.

    First infliximab infusion

Though we all react differently,I think the the most common side affect many of us share is fatigue after an infusion. Some people go home and have a nap(that's me)and others are not affected at all.Since this is your first infusion your nurses will monitor you closely and ask how you are feeling...

Aussie, 21, diagnosed in Oct this year, struggling.

Staying positive can be a challenge for many of us, especially after a recent diagnosis. It may seem overwhelming at first, but we are able to live a quality life. We may have to adjust and put more thought into what we do, but with some effort, we can still do many things. I was diagnosed a...

Diagnosed at age 50 & over Support Group

Whit I follow the SCD. Have you checked out the official website for the SCD? Have you read 'Breaking The Vicious Cycle'? Extremely informative and interesting, even if you don't choose to try the diet,in my opinion. I pop over to the SCD support group on the forum, but they seem to argue quite a...

    Finally Diagnosed - Crohn's

I switched GI's myself. My current GI is great with answering questions. He is very patient with me and my concerns and he doesn't keep his nose in a laptop during the visit. He actually sits and talks. I'm a very visual person and he will use the various posters and charts in the office to help...

Hi I'm told by my colorectal surgeon I will have my setons for several years,at least,in his opinion. I'm hoping it may be not as long as he previously thought since they are looking better then he expected them to look. My drainage has reduced since the fistulotomy in July. I still have...

    Finally Diagnosed - Crohn's

Having a GI you can trust is important.Do you not like him because of the Remicade and Humira recommendations? A good doctor tells us what we need to hear,in their medical opinion,to fight this disease. Are there other reasons? I hope you find one you can work with.

New to Remicade, how to know when working?

Hi Yeah,it can take a few treatments to feel any improvement. The mantra of we are all different holds true to infusions as well.I noticed I felt less fatigued after the second infusion.I should clarify,I felt fatigued for a few days after the infusion and then felt noticeably better.I lost the...

    Finally Diagnosed - Crohn's

It is rough to hear you have been diagnosed with an incurable disease.I was diagnosed a little over a year ago and clearly remember that conversation with the doc.Knowing what you are fighting may seem like a small consolation, but it is important. You can work with your GI and decide the best...
