    Ureter Stent & Bloody urine

Hello everybody! Good morning! I had a Ureter stent placed in my right side ureter due to inflamed intestines pushing against my ureter. I’ve called a standby doctor to ask if it’s normal, he said it was normal. I had the stent placed in just this last Friday(the 28th). It’s been 2 days now...

Im a believer in herbs now! Herbs that helped me

From 2012 to 2022, 10 years later, do these herbal supplements do anything for your Chron’s disease still? I bought some of what you listed & most of the other supplements I have or don’t have. But do they still work for you? Any updates? Successes? Losses? I got diagnosed last year, Nov...

This is not a very good forum..

You You're totally right, when I am not in pain (which is not often) or thinking about a procedure (like this Friday), this Fourm is only moderately on my mind.

    Homeopathic or Functional Medicine Treatments

Can you give an example off of the top of your head? If you know an example it may save time.

    Homeopathic or Functional Medicine Treatments

I don’t mean to be redundant but do you really believe most herbs eventually wear off? I read your Turmeric example but I am surprised about “natural” herbs eventually becoming “ineffective“. It reminds me of food that no longer works, only herbs are not food of course.

    Homeopathic or Functional Medicine Treatments

Gotcha, how much time you think I have before it gets worse? Or is that a question for the GI doc? Or is that a subjective answer? I don’t want to waste my time either.

    Homeopathic or Functional Medicine Treatments

Before you answer with some major bias, hear me out. 1.) Has anybody had success with a Functional Medicine Doctor in keeping their Chron’s Disease in remission? 2.) Has anybody had the same success with remission with a Homeopathic Doctor? 3.) Has anybody heard of others who have done natural...

    Inflamed ileum with fluid buildup

W what were the issues after 6 years?? I’m very curious, if you don’t mind? They haven’t put me on Remicade yet, so I would love to know.

    Elder Berry, Astragalus, Lion's Mane

I’ll look into WormWood, I’m assuming that’s an herb? Have you had CT scans to confirm your natural treatment is keeping you in remission? What does fasting and anti-virals/anti-microbials do?

    Elder Berry, Astragalus, Lion's Mane

Gotcha. Yeah I had Mild Chron’s too. It’s very strange how Chron’s Disease can morph really at any time. Truly scary IMO. I think being off immunosuppressants is smart, but that’s just my opinion. I hope you find the answers you are looking for Luke!

    Elder Berry, Astragalus, Lion's Mane

Thanks for the reply and info @lukesjr - I am aware of the difference between drugs and supplements, and I know that Turmeric, resveratrol, magnesium, vitamin D are all supplements, I am glad you're taking those! That's great, I take some of those you listed too. I always wonder if there is a...

    Crohns and joint pain?

I haven’t had joint pain in a continuous sense, but I have had the weakening of my joints by which they feel as though they need to be strengthened. I have been taking Joint + Mobility capsules and my joints feel way better. I’m not sure if you would benefit from such a thing as this. If you...

    Inflamed ileum with fluid buildup

Very helpful input MLP. Thanks. I’ll have to consider what you said. I’m glad your son is doing better based on these biologics. I’m not sure if it will be good for me, but I’m worried they will be a dependent drug as opposed to using natural remedies. I know for a fact that another person...

    Inflamed ileum with fluid buildup

So I talked with my GI doctor yesterday (they called me in). They assessed my CT scan with the contrast, they determined my inflammation was pushing on my ureter & making my kidney’s have backup urine over there. They did a urine test & a blood test to look for an infection, but they saw no...

    Inflamed ileum with fluid buildup

What a scary thought to think my GI wouldn’t be up to date on IBD related things. He seemed to have some knowledge even before the colonoscopy that I had Chron’s but who knows what he knows. Gotcha on the multiple layer intestine inflammation, I guess I never considered that a reality.

    Inflamed ileum with fluid buildup

Hello @my little penguin - It's a pleasure to see you again on here. I assume there are some spelling errors you made that make me a little confused. Are you asking me if I left my lower levels of my intestine untreated? So if Mesalamine is no longer recommended, why was I prescribed it...
