The trip didn't give you the disease but stress could more than likely started a flare. Stress is a major trigger for me. As a matter of fact my start happened on a trip. We thought for almost 2 months that I caught something there... Later to find out it was my new disease. :banghead: 2

Today is my last day on 5mg of Prednisone! Tomorrow will be my first day of no prednisone in over 3 months. Finally down from 40mg! Remicade had done wonders for me! I hope everyone else finds relief as well whether with Remicade or something else. Just thought I would share my success. 2

Having my last loafing dose of Remicade today. All is still going pre well. Oh yeah, and we find out what sex out baby is tomorrow! First child due in February.... So excited!! 2

Update So I am down to 10mg of prednisone. Things are going well. Remicade seems to be holding up to the flares. I have been tapering slowly over the last month, hopefully I will be able to get down to 5mg next week. 2

Has anyone experienced this with Remicade or Prednisone, very sensitive to cold and hot teeth? My front top teeth are very sensitive since starting Remicade. Anyone else? 2

As its flu season swiftly approaching, what's the deal with the flu shot while on Remicade? Safe? Bad idea? Any info helps. 2

Yes bad bleeding even while on 40mg of prednisone. That's why we went to remicade. However today no blood. So not sure what that little bit was the other night. I will keep you posted.

Calling doc about it tomorrow. Currently at 20mg prednisone and next infusion isn't until Oct 4th. Will be 3rd loading dose. I also take 4 Lialda nightly. I assume he will have me go to 30mg for a week or 2 and start tapering by 5mg/day this time, but we will see.

Update: since I have been doing so well on Remicade doc decided to have me start tapering off of Prednisone 10mg per week. I am at the end of 20mg week and last night blood came back full force. Today I had the urge of a bm but only drops of blood. No diarrhea yet but worried its gonna be a...

I have not expiernced this now. I have had 2 doses now.

So I am on my second round. As of right now, you would think I don't even have UC. It's been that good for me so far. I felt change the next day however everyone has different results.

2nd Remicade infusion today. It's helped so much from the first one. Has anyone experienced it gets even better after the second or does it just keep the same going forward? I will be happy either way just want to know others experience.

I have my second infusion this Thursday. Looking forward to it actually. With how well the first infusion helped, I am just hoping everything stays the same after the 2nd.

Beer so far for me does not make for a good situation. I get bad symptoms after a beer night. Still have not even tried other alcohols, a bit scared, and my 'cost vs. again' ' thinking won't allow me to even try. Haha

Update: So I saw the doc this morning. It is indeed Thrush and apparently it's extremely common when on Prednisone. I am on a mouth was thing 4 times a day that should help clear it up.
