    Crohn's related arthritis.

Hi everyone, I was doing well on my meds until recently. Unfortunately, the doze has had to be increased as pain is back in full force. My Crohns, itself, is under control ,manageable. Methotrexate is not an option for me as I didn't do too well on it for Crohns itself a few years ago. Any...

Hi there, thank you for your prompt reply. I am on sulfasalazine 500mg , 4 a day. I have been told it will take up to 4 to 5 months before I start to feel the benefit. However, the pain has eased a bit after 2 months, but I am weak and walking is impaired. Confined to the house just now...

I am 60 years old and just diagnosed. Can anyone relate?

Hi there, and welcome to this forum. I too was diagnosed later in life, so it can happen. My Consultant said it went back years, diagnosed as Diverticulitis, plus Hiatus hernia years before! Only when I began to have pain and bouts of Diarr...after tests, was told it was Crohns. I have...

I am 60 years old and just diagnosed. Can anyone relate?

Hi there, I feel it is just the richness and consistency of sauces in cooking. Macaroni and cheese, my own lovely grilled in the oven one, sets me off. I do eat little portions due to the hernia, and I am o.k. with condiments. I did live through a very difficult time with infusions. and...

Hi there, glad that it doesn't seem to be Crohns , but hope they find an answer soon to your concerns. I hope you feel better soon as you have had a lot of tests, and that is not pleasant either. Do watch your diet as some food can irritate the tummy. I know I have to avoid rich gravies or...
