How long to get approval for Remicade in the UK?

I'm in the UK and have been on infliximab nearly 5 years now. Basically the Dr's have to apply to the 'primary care trust' of that district as infliximab is expensive. The Dr needs to get evidence that the crohns is active, moderate/severe and other medication options have been exhausted. They...

    Crohns as a young adult

Thanks! (secret confession: have been to this forum before just can't remember password lol!) I have a GI appointment on Tuesday, will discuss possibilities of coming off infliximab then. It's a big decision but hopefully I will be able to find other, safer ways of managing this.

    Threadworm help

Ooops turns out they are called 'pinworm' in the US but 'threadworm' here in the UK... threadworm in the US seems to be a different type. That's messed up my googling haha

    Threadworm help

Hi all, sorry this is a bit of a strange first post, anywhere here goes... My niece recently moved in to my house, turns out she has worms (threadworm) that recently came back. So I do some googling, as you do, and found out that if you're immonocompromised and get threadworm there is a risk...
