    Undiagnosed Club Support Group

My guess is that many IBD patients get diagnosed in their 20s. Not sure what else it could mean. I will be sedated: I cannot imagine having to go through it otherwise.

Sending you support from my part of the world, Zoey. I am really proud of you for keeping up the fight (pun intended). Good job seeking out other opinions. I am sorry for the awful treatment you have received so far. I hope this is a turning point in your care. Also sending you support...

    Undiagnosed Club Support Group

Thanks for the support, UnXmas. The low residue food I have been eating include ensure, bread, crackers, dairy (gives me no problems), rice, well cooked canned vegetables, unseasoned poultry, potatoes, and jello. On Friday, I ate a PB&J sandwich, a couple of trail mix bars, and a small salad...

    Undiagnosed Club Support Group

I am fairly new to this forum, but did want to say I have my first GI appointment on Monday since they could get me in a week and half sooner, for which I am thankful. I have been feeling better lately so I started to incorporate other things into my diet rather than the completely low residue...

    question on flare length

Lol, good question. Habit? And plus everything seems to make me a little queasy. Otherwise, I would be living off.. hm, water, I guess. (3 pregnancy tests ordered by various doctors-definitely not pregnant.) I had gone on the clear liquid diet for several days at the doctor's advice. I am...

    question on flare length

I didn't know about the low residue diet until searching around google and coming to this site. After implementing it, I find that it has helped immensely though I still have quite a bit of discomfort. It sure beats going back on a clear liquid diet again. I think the high starch diet has...

Poop samples - how do you do it?!

Alley2231, I asked for one and they said they didn't give them out anymore. I also checked at the pharmacy and they didn't have them either. I ended up using a *clean/unused* garbage bag and attached it to the back half of the commode--like putting it over a trash can and put the seat back...

    question on flare length

It seems like I have been on this forever and still get so much discomfort from even basic food. So I'm guessing it would require medical clearance to start adding different kinds of food than the low residue/low fat/no taste diet?

    question on flare length

I really appreciate all the information. I am in the diagnosis stage and am trying to survive w/o meds (except omeprazole, and phenergan as needed) until I can finally get assessed by the GI and go through whatever additional tests I have to do then (IBD is a working diagnosis by my GP at this...

    Salad Addicts Anonymous

I agree: could not believe it when I found out. I was a near vegetarian before all of this started and ate all kinds of fruits, veggies, and whole grains. Now I am thankful when I can hold down chicken and plain crackers.

Poop samples - how do you do it?!

I know it has been awhile for this page, but it is still so helpful! I was given a cup and spoon-thing on Thursday and was sent home with it (I had diarrhea in my doctor's office and had to step out of the appointment--she sent me to give a sample after the visit and of course, nothing...

    Nausea

I am waiting on a diagnosis right now. Three ER trips, one emergency care, and two doctor's visit total in the last 4 weeks. My doctor now has 4? confirmed results of NOT PREGNANT. I joked with her that this will be standard for any and everything medically related from now on.

    So many test

Hi Mandy. Hope they figure out what is going on and give you some concrete direction. I am in the waiting stage, too. No fun. I just joined the forum today and am really thankful to have a community like this. We are in this together.
