    Sore throat from taking pills

I used to break pills in half because they were so big but that left them with sharp edges! You might want to try the dog trick :) put them in p-nut butter or cheese!

    MRI on Monday

Oh man! Yes, I don't have a large intestine and have been in that position so many times lately. I too hate the prep. One time I had pina colada drink, IV, and during they rolled me out and gave me a shot in the arm and then did another 45 minutes. Just about threw up all over the place from...

    Is this crohns please help.

You need to go see a doctor first and worry about the bills later. If it's really bad go to the ER! There are a lot of options for financial support but that is the last thing I would worry about now! Get to the ER if you are in that much pain :( sorry but there isn't really anything that can...

Butt pain when sitting or clenching

I have a very similar issue. Thought it was hemorrhoids, tried to fix it at home and nope.. Then went to doc who said abscess, and after 7 surgeries, 4 setons, (2 years total) the pain is the same!! Each time they would say "we found a... and that can cause some real pain" I thought "ok great...

    Inflammation level

Look into different diets!!! Try it for a while (not just a week) and don't just half-ass it.. Really try to make it work with different foods. I wish so bad that I could go back to my younger years and try more things before I had surgery. Let me know how things go!

    Frustrated & Confused!

I first think you have more than one issue. It doesn't sound like things I would associate with just CD from what I've had. Those are a lot of things going on at the same time and I would have your Doc send you to see specialists in different areas. Sounds like some small part of it could be...

Is this a (rectal) fistula? Help! - photos included

You really need to see a doctor. I have fistulas and setons and every one of them has hurt and became infected.. I don't think anybody can tell by looking at a picture? Some might say it could be a fistula but most would want to see where the tract leads to. My experience with fistulas have all...

Need help. Need hope. Want my life back.

It sounds like what my wife was going through for over 2 years! She had a colonoscopy done twice, 6 months a part (and a lot of other tests/allergies/blood work ect). They diagnosed her with irritable bowel and didn't find anything alarming. She has been so much better and pretty much normal...

Undiagnosed because someone would have to admit fault.

I'm just south of you in Nampa ID. I remember a time when cipro was awesome and worked really well for me, but that was over 15 years ago. Now it does nothing but cause acid reflux and constipation. Have you thought about a diet and stick it out for the long haul? I can digest meats really well...

My experience with Remicade FYI (bad experience)

My experience with Humira I was on Remicade for a short while (months not weeks) but was diagnosed with another new fistula while on it so the doc switched me to Humira. I took the 4 shots, then 2 the next week, then one a week after that. After 6 weeks I had rectal pain pretty bad and called...

How were you diagnosed with Crohn's? Looking for urgent help.

All I can say is everything you are describing (pain/symptoms) happened to me in 2 days. I did end up in the emergency room after trying to "fight it/ignore it" for 2 weeks. I am 6'1" and went from 190lbs to 155lbs with in that 2 weeks. I spent most of my days laying in the bath because that was...

Undiagnosed because someone would have to admit fault.

I know exactly what you mean!! Doc in Bellingham said UC. He had to because he took out my large intestine. Doc in Seattle said "classic for UC" he was involved and did the J pouch. Doc in Eugene said "hard to say because you didn't have any symptoms leading up to the total colectomy". A...

    UC: New looking for advice.

I have been on all the drugs possible in the last 2 years (including some cutting edge ones back in 1995) and recent ones that contributed to almost dying from sepsis. I haven't had any luck and continue to get fistulas. Diet has been the best treatment so far! I went from the caveman paleo (4...
