    New here

Hi I am a new member here too since last week and find it great reading other peoples stories and asking questions. I also was allergic to Imuran and came off it after just over 2 weeks, but reading the stories here it seems to work for a lot of people, so it will be worth giving it a try if...

    About to give in-steroids

Hi Stephanie I was on the Entcort for around a year and a half and for me I didn't have any weight gain at all. The side effects really weren't that bad, (headaches mainly but I get them anyway) at the beginning I did feel I had extra energy (that felt great). When I began to come off them I...

    Stephanie's story

Yeah, the stress defo triggers it I believe. Did you ever try tecniques to deal with stress? Humira is one of the options I have for treatment also but find it hard to agree to take it when I am well.

    Stephanie's story

Really do feel for you stephanie and wishing you recovery soon. Yeah, I was beginning to think along the same lines until I went to see my GI this week who gave me a real reality check. I went off the meds also but he recommends that I recommence so that's what brought me here and find it so...

    Stephanie's story

Hi Stephanie Wishing you gook luck. Hope you begin to feel better soon and your treatment is a success. It must be hard when you were well for so long to start having the symptoms again. I am symptom free at the moment so imagine it must have been hard when it all came back because you start...

    Need advice

Hi Amy Thank you for replying. Yeah think it's just for maintenance. That's why I am finding it hard to agree to taking meds because I am relatively symptom free, for the first time in years I am putting on weight and wonder what would happen if i commence them and then get a relapse, what...

    Need advice

Thank you, Really appreciate your advice. Yeah, GI is understanding and knows that I am afraid of meds after the reaction that I took so he is being patient with me. So glad I found this forum and looking forward to hearing from people who have better experience and knowledge than me. Thanks...

    Need advice

Hi Nancy Thank you for getting back to me, really appreciate it. Yeah, I was on Entrocort (stopped by GI) and Pentasa stopped (own decision to stop as GI told me research shows it is ineffective in Chrons) as I was more or less symptom free. I started acupuncture and found it really helped to...

    Need advice

I'm a new member, would really like to get advice from someone who has Chrons. I'm 33 and was diagnosed with Chrons over two years ago. On no meds at present but GI told me today that I had to recommence. Was on Imuran during the summer, got very ill from it causing pancretitis. Really...
