My husband has been on Pentasa 500mgx2, 4xday since he was diagnosed with Crohn's in 2011, in the TI. After about 6 months on it, has been in "remission" ever since, thank goodness! Now, the problem is the insurance. They want him to try either Lialda or Apriso, and I actually cover him...

Metoclopramide (Reglan) – in 3 months, 4,237 reports from lawsuits targeted this drug, which can cause potentially irreversible neurological brain damage (tardive dyskinesia); raises the question whether it is safe to remain in the market.

For those of you who take this drug...there are now questions being raised as to whether it should be taken of the market...too many side effects and lawsuits. Just thought I'd pass this along as an FYI!

Well, the doctor just called and it is official, my husband does in fact have Crohns. The dr is happy that he has had such a quick response to the Pentasa. He will follow up with him in a month, so here's to hoping that he continues he see relief from the Pentasa.

My husband also started Pentasa last week, 500mgx2 - 4 times a day, and by Thursday he had a normal, formed stool. For the most part, all of his symptoms have completely disappeared. He still gets an occasional bloated feeling, but all in all, he feels great already. His GI doctor told him it...
