Yes, no doubt!!! I know lots of the cardiac drugs have these types of programs, but I was not aware of the GI drugs!! I just called the Dr's office, he isn't scheduled to be seen until December, so I left a message with the nurse explaining our open enrollment issues, etc...hoping the Dr...

    Pentasa vs. Lialda/Apriso

My husband has been on Pentasa 500mgx2, 4xday since he was diagnosed with Crohn's in 2011, in the TI. After about 6 months on it, has been in "remission" ever since, thank goodness! Now, the problem is the insurance. They want him to try either Lialda or Apriso, and I actually cover him...

My hubby takes it 4 times a day. His 3rd dose is before he leaves work in the evening. He came home today, said he forgot to take it so took it when he got home. Now, he is thinking he did take it before he left. So, my question is: Can he or should he take his dose tonight? He may have...

    Newly Diagnosed

Will do, as I'm sure I'll be posting questions, and hopefully helping some in the future. Like my first question: How do you know when you are in fact in "remission"? When you are completely symptom free?

    Newly Diagnosed

Well, the doctor just called and it is official, my husband does in fact have Crohns. The dr is happy that he has had such a quick response to the Pentasa. He will follow up with him in a month, so here's to hoping that he continues he see relief from the Pentasa.

    Pentasa

My husband also started Pentasa last week, 500mgx2 - 4 times a day, and by Thursday he had a normal, formed stool. For the most part, all of his symptoms have completely disappeared. He still gets an occasional bloated feeling, but all in all, he feels great already. His GI doctor told him it...
