Help Support Crohn's Disease Forum:

Have you been out in the sun lately? I see you are on Entocort, you have to stay out of the sun whilst on steroids. If it gets worse I would call your doctor before you start Remicade.

Could be from sun exposure, an allergy to something, alcohol, auto immune disorders etc. This site talks about both red and white blotches on the skin: http://www.buzzle.com/articles/blotches-on-skin.html

Red blotches can disappear on their own by avoiding the cause or there are natural remedies but you should always consult you doctor before trying anything. Find the root cause would be my suggestion and they should go away on their own.

Looks just like the rashes I got from Azathioprine and 6MP-they started on my hands and went up to my shoulders and down my back. Call doc just to check it out.

Had it not been for the DX I was going to say that it may be an external manifestation of the disease. I have a giant red patch on my chest.
On a similar topic OTC topical fungicide creams may have also helped. I had a friend with ringworm on his arm, he treated it with cream meant for vaginal yeast infections.
