Help Support Crohn's Disease Forum:

I have always been a klutz, right from childhood, so in my case it's not drug related. However, some meds can cause things like muscle tremors, so I guess it's possible they could cause clumsiness too. Have you mentioned it to your doctor?

Ha! Ha! Rebecca. Mine is more klutziness of the mental variety. When I complained of pregnancy amnesia, my mother said, ' But you've always been like that.'
I've been having a touch of the dropsy and bumping into things too. Don't know how many glasses and plates I've broken in the last couple of weeks and my legs are covered in bruises from bumping into tables etc. Mind you, I think I might be bruising more easily cos of the Pred.
I did mention the kind of general spaced outness to my GP but she laughed and said that it's normal on steroids. Sometimes it's annoying, and others I kinda enjoy the 'drifting' feeling - am definitely less stressed!

I'm like Rebecca - I've always been a klutz so I can't blame it on the imuran - I do notice more bruises though and I think that may be why.

I know I've always been a klutz, but thinking about it, I think I was more of a mess in that way while I was on Imuran.

I didn't realize it at the time, but since stopping the Humira (waiting for the prior auth for Cimzia - tons of BS, etc), I have found that I'm less loopy, have less of the dropsies and am less likely to trip over nothing on the floor.

Also, I have noticed that my mother gets more spacey, klutzy, loopy and out there when she's on anything more than her bp meds. I'm wondering if it's actually the meds or something about Crohnies.

And yes, I'm always covered in bruises I don't remember getting. My poor boyfriend is always worried that they'll start asking questions at the doc's or at the hospital as I'm always looking slightly abused. And no, he doesn't.

I've always been klutzy. I don't think I've noticed an increase since starting Imuran, but I did almost drop my mom's birthday cake this weekend as I was carrying it into the room all lit up with candles!

I'm with most of the others - I've always been a klutz, so I can't blame that on meds or illness. I'm just naturally incredibly awkward, it's a gift that I've been blessed with. ;)
