I was diagnosis with Crohns at age of 40. I got sick with what I thought was the flu in November. I continued to get worse as days, and weeks went by. I had no idea what was wrong with me and many trips to the doctors and hospital showed they had no idea either.
My stomach pains were unbearable. I could not eat or drink. After a long 3 weeks I had an MRI which showed my entire intestines to be inflamed. I next had and upper and lower GI, which they could not complete do to the fact that I could not keep down the liquid I had to drink. Finally I met with a GI doctor and had a colonoscopy. I was diagnosised shortly after that and found myself on many medications including steriods.
I began to feel better and have had 1 or 2 flare ups a year since. I am now on Lialda and I seem to be doing fine except for the weight gain, headaches, blurred vision and fatigue that I can not seem to beat.
I am hopeful someone will have some suggestions on what I can do.

Hi Dawn and welcome! Do you get your bloods check regularly? Perhaps you are deficient in certain vitamins, hence the fatigue. For example, many forum members need monthly B-12 injections. But I am not sure about the headaches and blurry vision. Have you discussed this with your GI? I take Lialda, as well, and don't experience any side effects.
