6-MP and travel

I'm starting 6-MP in the next few days, which makes me a little nervous. I go to university in the UK, and I'll be only about a month into 6-MP when I leave to go back to school. It won't be a problem getting blood tests, etc, but I'm worried about the actual flight and the time difference.

As 6-MP lowers immunity, I'm concerned I'll get sick from the plane. I'm also worried that I'll get sick as soon as classes start - we always seem to have a bug going around at the beginning of the year (before all this started, I was really healthy and never caught whatever it was).

I know this sounds a little silly, but do you find you get sick every time something is going around?

In terms of the time difference, do you need to take 6-MP at the same time every day? I'll be jumping 5 hours ahead, and I'm just wondering if I should anticipate stronger effects for the few days I'm adjusting to the time.

I've been on it for 5 months and I've only caught a bug once. And people around me at work and elsewhere have been sick with colds/flus/sinus and I even had one friend I spent a weekend with where a doctor suspected she had meningitis (but she failed to tell me this until a bit after she found out  )....thankfully I did not get sick any of these times.

I don't think we need to seal ourselves in a plastic bubble for protection, but we definitely need to make sure we are washing our hands, drinking plenty of clear fluids to flush out the bad stuff in our body and do our best to stay out of terribly sick environments. A proper/sufficient crohn's diet with as many valuable vitamins and nutrients goes a long way too.

I take my 6-mp first thing when I wake up in the morning, that way I never forget to take it. I wouldn't expect anything significant to change if you are just jumping a couple of hours.

Good luck with school and travels!

Thanks for the advice, it's good to know that not everything will completely incapacitate me! Before this, I didn't even like to take Nyquil or sudafed when I was sick, so this world of side effects and everything is taking a little getting used to.
