Well my levels are showing liver toxicity from the 6MP, so my doc lowered the dosage and threw in a new med, Allopurinol, a gout pill. It will help with my kidney stones too. Talked to the doc and wanted to know how concerned she was about 6MP and future fertility, and she replied to my disappointment, "You're already at a disadvantage to concieve with chronic inflammation". Tough week, but chugging on!

Sorry about the problems with 6mp. Also sorry about the Dr response about fertility.

Hello Shannon. My daughter just turned 14 in october and she has to have the mp6 test done today. I sure hope it comes back ok as this is her first test of this kind.
she takes pentasa 2000 mg, prednisone, anzathroipene, ziphromax, and a prenatal vitamin.

It is tough at times. It is normal for her to spend 2 hours in the bathroom reading and sitting. She curently has a large bright red marks inbetween the butt cheeks.

Good luck

Hi Shannon,
I've had the same problem this year with 6MP. My ALT rose after we took the dose up to 100mg, so my Gastro stopped it temporarily for a week and then reintroduced it. This time it was decided that we would stay at 75mg, and hope for the best. My ALT does still come back elevated (last call 89) but Gastro has stated that providing I feel ok, and it does not exceed 100 then we can continue on it.
Sorry that you've had problems, but hoping they can sort it for you.
All the best,
Andrea
