I just gave myself my 7th Humira injection and am really needing it to start working for me sometime soon! I know the research shows that in cases such as mine there was not a response until 12 weeks but another 8 weeks feels like a long time :yfrown:

Oh, I hope you will see an improvement with this dose!!!!

Good luck!

Just a thought, what's your diet like?

Ensure shakes, saltine crackers, some chicken or turkey, potato bread, potatoes, and as bad as this is, sometimes cookies, I crave sugar :-(

What are your thoughts? I mean I know the refined sugar in cookies/cakes, etc. is terrible for me but other than that, any thoughts? I have tried veg/fruit and it has been terribly painful.

Okay... Do you know ensure shakes are okay for you? because high on the list of the ingredients are maltodextrin - a synthetic sugar, and milk proteins. Maltodextrin is supposedly well tolerated, but I suspect it isn't reading between the lines of many peoples responses to Ensure, Modulen and Elemental 028. Dairy is a known problem area too and it's not just lactose, the milk sugar, that is the root cause. If I drunk any of them I'd be out of remission in a shot - that's not to say it's the same for you!....

So, can you lay off the Ensure for a few days, a week perhaps, stick to rice and chicken, or turkey(!)? see how that goes.

Beth ~ Sounds like it''s worth giving it a shot! Thanks for the ideas! At this point, I would try anything!

I may be coming in too late on this, but I've found when I drink Ensure it upsets my colon. I try to drink it only when I know I'm down on protein.
