Hi, just thought id let you know my recent good news. After having a terrible summer with crohns and 3 hospital admissions, i went riding again for the first time on saturday!
My last admission i was made to think about whether its gonna be possible for me to carry on my course at university (Equine Sport Science) because iv got persistant anal fistulas and abcesses and also had 3 setons put back in - riding looked out of the question atall!
However i went on an hour hack on saturday and it was FANTASTIC, it was all i dreamed about doing when i was ill all over the summer. It was painfull - but usually always is! But i was just soooooo happy to be back on a horse!
I also got my resit results back today (i had to do them over the summer whilst i wasnt well) and i PASSED! So im going back to uni (and all the horses!) in a couple of weeks! And im sooo excited!
AND im finally getting some support from the disability service at my uni and my lecturers can be fully informed on crohns and my abcences (or being lazy as they liked to think!) Woooo! Things are FINALLY looking up!
