Good morning everyone! I know there are a lot of worried and depressed people here suffering from their Crohns. Every now and then you need a little reminder that life will be fine and good things do happen. Here is a little reminder I want to share with everyone... This is the ultrasound at 18 weeks, about 6 weeks ago

If a chronie like me can get lucky enough to be blessed with a little one, you can have good things in your life too :)

Have a great one!

Dan

And yes, mommy and baby are both doing fine. My wife is freaking out every day about having our first, but I think that is rather normal.

aw wow what an image to treasure! thank you for sharing this with us Dan.. & big congrats to you and your wife :)

Big Congrats Danman. If I recall correctly, fertility had been an issue with you, so that makes it all the more special...and gives me big hope, too (just had my second fistula surgery which appears to have been a success, so I'm headed in the right direction).

Thanks for sharing this encouraging news...keep us updated!

Congratulations! This is a HUGE life-changing event that you will enjoy Dan!
So do you know the sex yet, are you guys going to find out or be surprised?

I don't know and want to be surprised. How many true surprises like this do you get in life?? Besides, knowing the sex makes it more real and if, heaven forbid, something goes wrong, the loss even worse. I will know, hopefully, by the end of February.

True Dan!
So you guys get to go through and pick out names for a boy and a girl! Man, you have so much to do now!

Congrats DanM! The love for a child feels like no love you've ever felt before. It's different and so amazing. Best thing in the world.

Congratulations! It always amazes me that these little black and white blobs on paper turn into cuddly, warm, wonderful little creatures that you love unconditionally. I've done it three times and every single time the doctor placed them on my stomach for the first time, I'd think, "Oh wow, there WAS a real baby in there"! ;0)

Congrats Dan that is wonderful news! I can honestly say that having my kids in my life has been the best series of events to ever happen to me. It has made me want to be a better man.

My apologies to DAN and DANMAN...how did I stupidly get you guys confused??? Must be the new avatar.

At any rate, congrats Dan, this is such exciting news!!!

The best things in life are seen in black and white. My wife and I are expecting our 10 grandchild. We don't know what it will be.

Enjoy every minute of it, Dan.

Congratulations Dan. Me and my wife wanted to have a baby but my flare put things to a halt. Now i will start Remicade soon, and hopefully it will put me in remission and we can start again...........

when is the baby due date? and what a beautiful button nose s/he has.
Thanks Sharon! The due date is Feb 26th. Lets hope that the button nose does not turn into on of my families infamous buzzard beaks.
