A poem about Crohns

This is a poem I wrote just to put my Crohns in perspective.

Crohns

This monster inside of me
Has caused me much pain
It tears at my insides
Trying to drive me insane.

And at times it came close
To ending my life
Leaving three young children
And my beautiful wife

But we became strong
After many trying times
We took that journey
And up the stairs we climb

Out of this dungeon
You tried to put me in
I've weathered the tests
And I'm back fighting again

Yes Crohns is still part of me
But you've just made me strong
And now this is MY life
If you want, you can come along.
