ABC "Four Corners" - My Own Choice. Assisted Suicide / Euthanasia

I found this program to be quite confronting, not because of the subject matter, euthanasia, but the young man featured has Hirschsprungs. Being that it is a bowel disease I could see many parallels with those that suffer with severe and prolonged IBD.

I don't wish for my posting this to be confrontational as the debating of deeply held beliefs is not my intention. For me it was a further window into just how debilitating chronic illness can be and why for some euthanasia is their choice of treatment.

This moves me much...
The first and pretty much only real friend I made while I was hospitalized had Hirschsprungs disease. That young man express a lot of the reality my friend was going through.
God bless him he died trying (infection following the intestinal transplant he had placed so much hope in).
Anyway, it sure is a lot to think about.
