Acne medication that is safe to take?

Hello,
My son is taking Remicade and Otrexup for his U.C., it has been working very well so far...problem is, he's 18 and has pretty bad acne.
We were told to discontinue minocycline, since it could be 'toxic' with the Otrexup.
Has anyone found any acne medication that is considered safe with these meds and U.C.?

After being on pred then remi/mtx my son had severe acne(mostly from the pred then I guess just being that age) Our deem was comfortable with a lot of his usual acne treatments due to my son's CD. He referred us to an esthetician and she had him wash with a combo of phisoderm and corn meal(not cornmeal mix) daily. He was to go to her office starting once a month for a face peel but he looked so much better she changed it to every other month. Then every 3 months twice then we were done with that part.

I would say within 3 months of starting the acne was no longer a dominant feature, in fact he had prom pics at month three and no touch ups were needed.

I know it seems a little over the top but honestly once his face was clearing up you couldn't have kept him from that office. Every other thing we had tried didn't clear the acne and sometimes dried his face out so much that the acne became worse.

Do you think the phisoderm/corn meal helped more, or the peels? (Do you mean the chemical peels?)

I think the phisaderm/cornmeal helped a lot to clear his t zone area but the chem. peels worked great on the tough to treat acne.
