I'm DESPERATE. Doctors are letting me down and I"m trying something completely different. (I'm still taking my antibiotics. I have not completely lost my mind)

But....next week I have an appointment with a lady who does acupressure. Has anyone had good results with acupressure / acupuncture or chiropractic for Crohn's?

Am I a total rube or what? :poo:

Hey Mia,

I would say go for it. What could it hurt, except maybe your pocket book. I have tried pretty much every natural treatment out there and some have worked amazing and some not so much. I found that the needle accupuncture didn't do as much for me as the laser one. That seems to work better.

But honestly - the thing I find the most helpful has been treatments from my massage therapist. She works with the fascia of the stomach and it has really helped my stomach out big time. And I also go for Healing touch therapy which has been a huge help as well. It mainly helps with relaxing your body and getting rid of stress - which in my opinion is a huge factor.

I also take digestive enzymes which are a huge help - and have tried a ton of other things like allergy elimination, etc......but different things work for different people.

Don't be afraid to try other things though...even if you think they are silly. Nothing bad will come of trying - the worst thing that will happen is that nothing will change. Even if some of it's in your head - who cares. If you feel good, you feel good.

Let me know if you want additional info. Keep us posted. [email protected]

Actually when I go with chiropractor my back and neck pain relieve and already treated and it also make me feel good.

Love my chiropractor, although he's worried about me now that I've been on the prednisone since this past May. (Concern bones will start getting brittle.) He doesn't fix the gut issues but seems to release and free up everything so you feel "right" for a bit, at least, if that makes any sense?

I do massage and acupuncture. for me stress is a huge factor in triggering my guts so these practitioners help keep me calm, balanced and at ease. at one point during a a violent flare up I could go to my acupuncturist keeled over in stabbing pain, intense nausea,
and zero energy and swollen belly and she could do her needle energy magic and have me leaving feeling calm and steady and pain free. amazing.
