Hi all,
So it's nearly 6 weeks after my ileocaecal resection and my recovery is going well, but over the last week a few things have returned -
1) mucus
2) urgency to go to the toilet. On Saturday I was in a shop about 5 minutes from home felt my stomach gurgle and knew I needed the toilet, my husband had to drive really quick to get me home and I only just made it. Today I have been for lunch with my mum and my stomach did that gurgle again but we were at least 20 minutes from home, we found a supermarket and just made it to a disabled toilet.
3) my psoriasis has come back after over 3 years (I've been on and off steroids for 3 years prior to surgery which has kept this at bay)
Is this all meant to happen again? I've got my follow up appointment on 11th feb with my surgeon and then will be referred back to my Consultant. I'm currently not on any medication, as in recovery.
I'm so upset and the urgency thing is so embarrassing. I really hoped the surgery would sort this
Any advice/help would be great, thanks Yvette.
