Hey guys, well I had an infection about 3 months ago and had been in a good state for about a year or so... Well after all those antibiotics, I believe it has sent me in a turmoil. As usual, I can't eat leafy greens (to much fiber), can't do dairy, seeds, tomatoes (to acidic), or skins to anything. Tough foods aren't easy to digest, so I'm really looking for suggestions on soft foods. I'm not aware of the fiber content of oatmeal or anything like that. What is the healthy limit of fiber for you? As it seems there is no healthy limit for me. Any advice on your safe foods? Any help is much appreciated. Going to the bathroom before I even finish my meal has to stop as well as being doubled over in pain from eating the wrong food. Thanks guys in advance !
 
Sorry to hear the antibiotics threw you for a loop! Have you been in touch with your GI/had any labs checked recently?

How about making Bone Broth? http://www.crohnsforum.com/showthread.php?t=44473&highlight=bone+broth I started making it last year, and through I'm in gut-remission I do feel better (less fatigue) when I keep up with drinking some broth every day.

When you look at the labels on foods, avoid anything over four or five grams of fibre per hundred grams.

Here's a post I made replying to someone else a while back when I was having to be very strict with fibre (you will have to see what applies to you, e.g. avoid dairy if that gives you problems even though it's usually low fibre):

Foods high in fibre tend to be the ones conventionally classed as "healthy" - fruit, vegetables, whole-grains, nuts and seeds. These foods don't break down easily during digestion, and they're the ones you have to avoid if you are eating low-fibre or low-residue.

There are a few fruit and vegetables that you can eat on a low-fibre diet: bananas, avocados, fruit juice, tinned peaches and tinned apricots and some pureed or boiled fruit.

You can eat grains that are not whole-grains: you can eat white rice, white bread and white pasta. There are some low-fibre breakfast cereals: Cornflakes, Rice Krispies, Coco Pops, Frosties and some others.

You can eat protein foods like fish, meat, eggs, cheese and other dairy.

If you google it you'll find many web-pages with lists of foods you can and can't have, though you may find you come across contradictions, where one site says a certain food is allowed, and another forbids it, but you can get the general idea of which foods are mostly well-tolerated. What about supplements? I've been taking D3, fish oil, and coconut oil with good results. Also been drinking Shakeology which has helped
