Hey I start humira tomorrow get my first four shots was woundering how ppl felt after there first four shots so I no what to exspect? Thank you x

Personally I didn't notice anything after the first 4. Many don't notice a difference so soon yet I have heard some members on the forum saying that they noticed a difference after the first 4. The next two shots two weeks later is when I noticed a difference. After that all of the minor symptoms I was having went away yet it could take much longer (2-3 months) for some people to start working.

Keep a daily log of your symptoms so you can keep track if its helping or causing any side effects. I also suggest trying both your stomach and thigh so you can figure out which spot hurts less for you (I stuck with the stomach because it hurt less there for me yet some people prefer the thigh). Good luck and keep us posted! Hope it works for you. :)

thanks for your help :) im am nervous suppose that's normal did the four injections effect you in anyway that day eg make you tired or sick? X

Humira did make me tired for a couple days but that went away. I didn't start having issues with getting sick until I was a couple months into it (I had upper respiratory infections from it after each injection that lasted up until the next injection so had to stop it because of that). Some people don't get sick more often while on it though. Hopefully you wont as well. :)

I am one of those that do not get any bugs on humira (maybe I'm tempting fate saying this ).

I've been on it for over a year now and initially I did feel tired with some nausea, but it was very minor and only lasted a short time.

Best of luck! You'll feel so much better with it. It worked great for me at the time.

Awww thank you glad its working for you I had the four jabs yesterday safe to say I will not be doing them again in my thighs ouchh !!

I had my first 4 shots 2 weeks ago. I was very tired for 2 days. Actually feel like I got some relief during the first week. I take my second dose which is 2 shots Friday. Hope I don't get as tired.

I had a few short lasting headaches at first and then nothing out of the ordinary as far as sideeffects. I did start feeling a whole lot better in about 4-6 weeks.

Good Luck

They make me tired and the loading dose made extremely groggy... almost as if I had take a pain pill. I do my shots in the evening after I have done everything I a going to for the night so I can just relax and sleep after its done.

Yeah, Ellie, it's possible that you will find headache as a side effects. If you are prone to migraine and headache in general, it might follow you with the humira.

I have no clue the why's of it but I know that I would get a headache roughly at each injection, sometimes moderate, sometimes quite annoying.

When the medication is working properly, it's worthy.

I had a killer headache when I did the loading dose but it was only that one time. My biggest problem has been injection site swelling and redness. I'd suggest taking an antihistamine with your Humira merely as a precaution. I've been on Humira for years now and in good health with no major side effects.
