The alanine amino transferase or ALT came back double the normal max. This isn't in response to new meds because it happened before Humira. What is this about?

My liver enzymes are all over the place too and have been for some time. I had been in a "monitoring" phase with quarterly blood tests but the last one came back pretty high so they did a biopsy. I ended up getting diagnosed with NASH. Not trying to scare you or saying that's your problem, but all the more reason to make sure this is getting checked out because once you get to the point I am it can be hard to reverse (or potentially impossible to do so). There are other less serious/unknown possibilities too, but I would make sure the doctor is paying attention to it. Just my 2 cents.

Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis. Basically a fat accumulation in the liver. Mine has started to enlarge due to it and my portal vein has begun to narrow due to it as well.
