Hi I am new here and have had
Proctitis (lower inflammation of the colon and rectum)
For 2 years now. Am on Ramacade and prednisone, asocol ect.
Still having flair ups. Anyone tried alternitive medicine?
Am looking at diet and whatever so
Much stuff on line doesn’t know what to try first.
The symptoms have gradually
Gotten worse and I know if it keeps up
Sugary will be on the horizon. Thanks in advance
For your help.
Have a great day! David

Hi David and welcome! I am sorry to hear Remicade, pred, and asocol isn't doing the trick. Had it worked in the past, but now is wearing off or did it just never seem to work? Have you discussed this with your doctor?

Unfortunately, I don't have any advice with alternative treatments. However, you will find a lot of information in the Treatment Forum. I hope you find some good ideas you are interested in trying!

Hi David,

V sorry to read your current situation.
I turned to alternative medicine after suffering with CD for over 20 years.
It's nearly 2 years ago now that i started to take AMP(Aloe Mucilaginous Polysaccarides).
I'm pleased to say i had terrific success.
It's not cheap when you start on the recommended dose but for myself it was the best decision i've ever made.
On this forum you will find various members who have had good success with different treatments to what the Dr's suggest.

I hope you find a treatment which can put you in remission and improve your quality of life.

Best Wishes

radmanaa, do you have ulcerative colitis or crohns in addition to proctitis? If it's proctitis only, it seems like rectal meds might be helpful.
