I've not been that active here really but I thought I'd drop in with how things are going.

Sense I last mentioned how I was some things have been a little better. I think most of it has been through controlling my diet a bit better but I've not had what seemed like blockages and bad fever. Even managed to get through Christmas dinner with little trouble. Sometimes though I'll get a little faint and lacking in energy but it's something I can control much easier.

Sadly however toilet habits are still all over the place. Still have little time to react to when I need to go and with it sometimes I'll go and can't pass anything, yet others sadly I'll start going as soon as I get up to head for the toilet. Some days are worse then others thankfully but it's hard to find a day where all is "normal” or finding no leaks.

When it comes to hospital and treatment I've had a visit last month which helped a little but I found out that things are very active and also the inside of where it's affected have become quite scarred now. I'll be going back again early next month to talk to what I'm guessing will be the surgeon next month. Kinda nervous still.

Something interesting though, the letter I got for it saying who I will see for the March appointment was listed as colorectal team. I know I can feel things worse along my right side but I thought (maybe even assumed) that my problems were in the small intestine. Could I be wrong considering the name of the team?

Guess that's all I have for now. It's nice having somewhere to vent off a little about such things though.

Hey Glen, :bigwave:

Thanks for the update. I probably missed you when you joined as we have been having our own upheavals here.

Don't worry about the colorectal term, that's exactly who you need! It just means they specialise in the bowel and rectum whereas others specialise in upper GI tract (oesophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas.........). My son has small bowel CD and has just been in the colorectal ward at the hospital.

We have follow up appointments next month too! Almost certainly with a view to surgery.

Good luck with your appointments and keep us posted.

Take care, :)
Dusty
