Hi everyone had some bloodwork last week for annemia and it come back negative however im so pale and have this horrible looking black circle of a bag round my eye that will just not go away, has anyone else experianced this on what it could be from diareah, sickness, anything else it really looks like im been smacked in the eye

I frequent a parenting forum as well. On that I have learned that food allergies can cause dark circles under the eyes and the moms there called them allergy shiners. I am not saying that is what it is but just that I have heard of this as a reason for dark circles.

It seems to get darker after i have sickness or diareah everyone that sees me just says i look drained and unwell im not sure if this is to do withbecause im feelin quite unwell lately or not but annemia is negative but im so tired and pale with these dark circles

I have had the dark circles all of my life, and supposedly they are an allergic response to something.

The weird thing is one day I woke up and I did not have the dark circles. I even pointed it out to my wife that for some reason, they were not there that morning.

We went to a restaurant and ate breakfast. I had eggs toast coffee, nothing out of the ordinary. When we left, the circles were there again, just like that.

They are a mystery to me, and I hate them.

When I was younger I was tested for anemia as well and it came back negative but was very close to it. Let's look at it on a scale from 1-10. 1 being that you are not anemic and 10 meaning that you are very much so. Let's say that a blood test says that you are anemic if you fall on numbers 6-10 and are not 5-1. If you're at 5 which is very close to 6, you could show symptoms of being anemic. That's how I was when I was younger. I had the symptoms but the blood work said no but close to it. My doctor put me on Iron tablets and it did help. Perhaps you could try increasing your iron intake and see how that goes.
