I'm in a pretty bad flare right now, and just saw the doctor yesterday. He wants to do a colonoscopy Friday, I said sure so we can move things along. Both fortunately and unfortunately, I have this whole week off work. Good since that makes prepping for/having the colonoscopy easier, bad because this is not how I wanted to spend one of the two weeks off I'll get this year.
So now I'm starting the prep, and I'm wondering how the heck I'm going to get through it while my roommate's parents are staying with me. I live in a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom house. I agreed to let them stay way before this flare started; they came all the way from Pakistan to visit him and his siblings who all live in the US, and I thought it would be interesting. It has been, and they're great and nice and interesting, but man, how am I going to take a full thing of colonoscopy prep while sharing a bathroom with three other people, 2 of whom are relative strangers and none of whom knows about my disease?
I also need to figure out how to politely dodge offers of Pakistani food, which I'm pretty sure would just make me explode.
I had earmarked this vacation time for hiking in Colorado, but looks like I'll be figuring out this dilemma instead!
