Hi everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Lisa, i'm 21 and I developed Crohns at 17, diagnosed at 18.
Was initially treated with an 8 week course of steroids and have been on pentasa since diagnosis. I was fine for a while but then got another flare up and was put on another course of steroids, this time they didn't work, so was commenced on azathioprine, which was brilliant once it started working.
Was taken off azathioprine just before xmas, I had glandular fever and ended up in hospital, my white cells were so low I needed to be in protective isolation so they took me off the aza. Was fine for a few months and now i'm going through my third flare up.

Fed up, want my life back and just need some support from fellow sufferers who genuinly understand.

Xx

I was like you two years ago, when I was diagonosed with severe crohns and worst, I had two fistulas. I took my life back, and now I am in complete remission without a flare in over a year, and both my fistulas are healed. I did it all without taking any drugs, yes I repeat, I was not a slave to drugs. I did it by changing my life style and my eating habits and I followed the SCD diet from the book "breaking the vicious cycle". Read my story here under the post "SCD diet healed my fistulas and put my crohns in remission".
