I am trying to find environmental health risks that could pre-disposed people to Crohn's Disease. Please take another one of my surveys

Hmmmm it looks like not having a parent or sibling with an autoimmune condition is totally a predisposing factor! Hehehe.

somehow i avoided chickenpox right through childhood, & then came down with a killer dose of it when i was in my 20's. it was awful, i remember ringing A&E in the night crying down the phone that i was dying.... lol. seriously, i felt worse than i did after my surgeries!

i totally understand why people deliberately take their kids to houses where someone has chickenpox.... it is so much better to catch it when young (unless the child has contra-indications to catching these things).

When I was a child I was around other kids who had the chiken pox but did not get it as a child. When I was in my teens my brother got it with most of his class and then of course I finally did right after. I got it a lot worse than he did.

I got chicken pox when I was 13...didn't get the Crohn's till my mid 30's..
