I wasn't sure where to post this. Has anybody ever had issues with Peripheral Neuropathy after being on Vanco or Flagyl for a C. Diff infection? Did it go away after you stopped the meds? Any info is appreciated.

My dad had it after his chemotherapy drugs (which I can't remember the name of at the moment) so I know it can be drug induced. His did go away when he stopped treatment.

Flagyl has been indicted for causing peripheral neuropathy.
The neuropathy will hopefully go away when the flagyl is stopped.

There are a few things that could have caused it and stopping/controlling the cause will obviously help but one thing I read in that link is it depends on the severity of that damage. If its severe then chances are its permanent. "The outcome depends on the cause of nerve damage. When a medical condition can be found and treated, your outlook may be excellent. But, in severe neuropathy, nerve damage can be permanent, even if the cause is treated." http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001619/
