anybody have any luck with rowasa enemas

hey my GI doc prescribe me to use rowasa enemas nightly when i am bleeding to use for a week. they helped me stop bleeding and control some of the hott butt syndrome as i call it after having so much D on days on end.

I had those for a bit, but they didn't really seem to help. I hated them too! If they work for you that's really great!

tonight is supposed to be my last one for a while. i like them better than having to do a fleets enema. at least rowasa didnt burn like holy hell going in. they make me cramp and produce really stinky gas my wife tells me.

I had such urgency, I couldn't hold them in for very long. A friend of mine had good luck with them though.

thanks. i learned to let the air out of the bottle first and then slowly squeeze out the medicine and then hurry and lay in bed. i have been able to keep 5 of 6 of them in all night except last night i was hurting to bad and had to much urgency i couldn't sleep until i let it out.

Yes, they helped me alot;but I agree with the others, it's hard to keep them in. I layed on my side and didn't move for about 20 minutes. It worked most of the time.

You just have to get through this phase;until the meds start to work you will have alot of pain/urgency/pressure issues. Just try to be patient and stick with it; if it's just too much for you maybe they would prescribe Canasa suppositories for you.
