Hi,

I have always been a soya lover. I can eat most soy products, but, the soya milk makes me gassy..it can get imbarrasing lol..but no diarea with it.

Sorry I dont eat or drink Soya, but I use Rice milk. What country are you in? Some times people use goat cheese too.

Hi im from Uk. I dont have gas problems but mostly comes out in D for me. Lately i have had some blockage issues that i have to sleep off (painful but not a&e).

Honestly i am scared that rice is also now giving me d if i have it more than once every 3 days.

I love soy milk. It has never given me problems and I think it tastes delicious. However, regular cow's milk sometimes makes me gassy and upsets my stomach.

Try almond, rice or coconut milk instead. Soymilk is made mith soybeans, and that can make people bloated and gassy.

Almost all Soy milk produces contain an ingredient called, Carrageenan.

Carrageenan is one of the worst and one of the most insidiously prevalent harmful additive to our modern diet.

"Milk and other dairy products contain carrageenan, a compound extracted from red seaweed. Carrageenan, which is widely used in the food industry for it's ability to stabilize milk proteins, has been shown to induce ulcerative colitis in laboratory animals."

"Sometimes used as a thickener in many products, such as ice cream and yogurt. Causes stomache upset, deterioration of mammary-gland tissues. In some formulations, is carcinogenic"

I have issues with Soya milk too, unfortunately.

wow! my mom has some weird crohns/colitis stuff going on and she has a SEVERE intolerance to all soy. She cant eat anything with soy lecithin in it and honestly everything these days has it. so yeah she eats literally nothing processed anymore. I will have to tell her that other's on here have an intolerance too

Well there is def some carageenen in the mouse, i cant tolerate any emulsifier anymore so will not have it then. boooooo will look for a soyamilk with the plainest ingredients.

There are lots of great soy milk drinks and products without carrageenan in them (if you want to be concerned about that issue.) When you are flaring everything pretty much seems to be suspicious! Don't let it make you paranoid about food.
all the best.

My biggest problem with soya milk was with the taste! Terrible noxious liquid I thought. But recall when I drank it a few times, it didn't seem to upset the gut.

I no longer drink this either, but at one point switched to rice milk once I discovered it at a store. Much more pleasant to the taste buds.

I can't stand soy milk the tast makes me gag. I am also hypothyroid so avoid any soy products as they can interfere with thyroid medication absorption.

I use almond milk to replace any milk I would normally drink.

I have to watch how much cow's milk products I eat - so no yogurt. I can tolerate some cheese and a little ice cream - but no yogurt at all. I can still bake with cow's milk and have no problems there, just can't drink it straight.

I am amused by the links between cow's milk consumption and Crohn's!! My sister and I both have Crohn's and my brother susepcts he might have it too. The three of us, together, drank an average 16 - 20 liters of milk a week for years growing up!

this is why young women shouldn't consume too much soy. my mom had breast cancer and i've been told eating/drinking soy is not good for me....

i still drink cows milk, i love it. but i also like almond milk. i believe it's Silk brand almond milk that i like. they have a dark chocolate flavor..................SOOOO GOOOOOOD!!!!! i recommend y'all try it :D

I have heard that soy is very high in phyto-estrogens, so this is why I avoid it. I have reasons to believe that my body is sensitive to excess estrogen.

I am a dairy lover and haven't found anything personally that compares with the taste of cows milk. I know, though, that it isn't that great for me either, so I haven't been drinking much of it. Only when I eat something that's really chocolatey, then I have to have a glass.

I make soy milk from scratch (no additives, other than a little raw sugar) and it tastes different from commercial soymilk. Definitely better.
