anyone could recomend a cream for rectal itch

i am screaming in pain, been to derm and colo rectal, but 2 percent hydrocort aint working. any recomendations would help, thx much. i have anal puritis, probobly from excessive restroo visits:ywow:

Have you tried taking an antihestiamine till the cream kicks in or what about destin. Whenever i got itching like that keeping the area really dry and using vaseline worked.Also staying away from toliet paper; using wipes and washing usings a shower head instead of using a wash cloth. Also you can try witch hazel.

I used to get that a lot when I was younger, I used something called Sudocrem (I'm from England so I don't know if you can get it where you are) but you could google it. It's designed for rashes like nappy rash and tons of other stuff and it's really good in my opinion

Sudocreme, zinc cream , calmoseptine have all worked for me.
These are probably in Walmart stores., and drug stores.,sudocreme is a UK product but you can get it in Canadian drug marts, so maybe available in USA.., its main ingredient is zinc cream., very soothing.

I feel your pain! It's not fun.
Ask your doc for something with Lidocaine in it, this is an anaesthetic and will numb your bum!

thx astra. trned out to be a bacterial infection, culture came back positive, now taking, taking cleocin t and feeling much better, wonder if its crohns related, thx for your kind words, be well xxx

I second the Calmoseptine. It can be hard to find. Many specialty pharmacies carry it, but most any pharmacy will be able to order it for you. Here's a link...
