Hi to everybody,

This is Tony here. I live near Paris. I am 32 Years old male living with crohn's since 5 years.

I work as a Project Manager for an IT company.

I like to meet people from France who are with Crohn's.

Life is very stresfull for me presently. At work and at personal level too. Though i am single, i live with lots of thoughts. I do have a great vision in my life, i love to achieve it. I strive hard for it, i forget myself that i suffer from Crohn's, but without my knowledge i fall in depression. Is there anyway that i could do my things better. Do everyone who have crohn's fell the same way? Just please post your views.

Welcome

Hi Tony!
Welcome to the forum!
I'm from Canada..but there may be someone here from France you can talk to.
I think we all have bouts of depression because we had our goals all in place
and then to find out we have Crohn's...well, it makes us slightly limited.
At times we have to rethink our goals and what we strive for.
Other times we go into a remission and then move ahead with our plans. :)

Feel free to browse the forums and to ask any questions you may have.
We're all in the same boat and here to support one another.

Again...welcome.
Hugs~Nancy

Hi Tony,
Welcome. I am from the US but I was living in Europe when i was diagnosed with Crohn's. Your attitude is great and you sound like you are doing well. I think we all fall into depression sometimes with Crohn's Disease. It is a bad and embarrassing disease. Just keep being positive. How do you find the treatment of Crohn's in France? I lived in Germany and Holland for a total of 12 years and I was never happy with my care there. Good luck and a Nancy said, do check out all the different forums here. I know they have helped me alot!

Hi Tony 2007
Welcome to the forum.
Here you will find alot for warm and nice peolpe.
They will be able to answer most of your questions.
Along with Nancy Im also from Canada.
I never really had a chance to get my goals in place.I was too young when I got hit the news that I had Crohns.
Back then peolpe were to afraid or ashame to mention any thing about Crohns and if you did they were like dumb founded.OHHHHH What is Crohns?Im talking more then 25 yrs ago.
Did anyone else on the forrm go through that ignorance yrs. ago when you were first diagnoised? Did peolpe understand you or the Disease?
Got off track there for a moment.
I too am single now.Men just cant seem too deal with the ups and downs, mood swings, not knowing fromm day to day how you will feel. This disease is like a roller coaster ride. And some peolple just cant handle it. Even myself when I was first diagnoised I thought my like was over. My parents didnt understand it. My first boyfriend didnt understand and then when I was married and had my Daughter( which they said women with CD cant get pregnant)which was a miricle didnt understand Now this 3rd guy understood but just recently(after 10 yrs)we decided to go our seperate ways. I kinda like being single. Ive been in a bad flare since last July and I juat come to this forum every day and it cheers me up so I can get on with the rest of the day which some days involve absolutly nothing.
I just think of it this way we are the lucky ones because there are alot of people in this world worse off then us.
I seem to have got side tracked again.
Anyways if your feeling down or blue some one here will cheer you up
Right Nancy lol
Try not letting your stress level get so high because in the end it will win and set you back (perhaps in a flre-up)We must be happy most of the time.
I no easier said then done. LOL

Hi TONY
your story is under The poll section so not many peolpe will see it at first.
It should be under YOUR STORY.
The forum goes under different catergories. You will find your way by looking and reading the posts.

Hi Tony, I live in the UK so I'm just across the water. Welcome to the forum as others have said you will find lots of great people here with lots of interesting and informative stories. I think the depression seems to go hand in hand with crohns, a lot of people here have had depression at some point or another. The important thing is to recognize that you have depression and treat it. Its not shameful to suffer from depression, but it can become difficult to bear if its not treated.
