So far I have read about Osmoprep, Moviprep, and Miralax. Can anyone name some others and does anyone know of one that does not contain PEG (polyethylene glycol)?
Thank you.

I took Visicol once for a prep and it made me so sick I had to reschedule the colonoscopy. It also re-activated my Crohns which had been in remission for many years. My pharmacist (who didn't carry it, so I had to go to Walgreens) told me it was like swallowing Drano. Needless to say, I fired the doctor who prescribed it and got myself a new doctor.

Ironically, I was eager to try something new because I hate drinking the electrolyte solution so much. I thought it would be so much easier just to take a few pills. But those few pills just about killed me. I will never try anything other than the electrolyte solution again. It is just so much gentler on your system.

I always gulp it down, 8 oz at a time, while holding my breath and while still holding my breath I take a big swig of listerine, and then spit the mouthwash out. So long as I can't taste it, it doesn't make me gag. The doctor I currently see has patients take the solution in two stages, so that makes it a bit easier, too.

We use two quarts of Gatorade (any light colored flavor) and a bottle of miralax mixed in. Also, four dulcolax stool softeners before that. Love it compared to go~lightly(gallon) and prep.

Picolax is the only one I can stomach(excuse the pun). In particular Clean Prep & Fleet make me vomit badly.

We have used Picoprep here. These are the ingredients:

INGREDIENTS

PicoPrep powder for solution contains:
10mg of sodium picosulfate;
3.5g of magnesium oxide;
12.0g of citric acid; and, 36mg of aspartame.

PicoPrep does not contain lactose, sucrose, gluten, tartrazine, any azo dyes or “sulfur” medicines.

Dusty. :)
