Hi I have UC... and was just wondering if anyone from the U.K has had a doctor mention or recommend it? I stopped smoking it years ago. but had a very small amount yesterday and the day before, after hearing about the possible benefits. I don't know how long it would take to work.... but today i have only visited the toilet twice. which is pretty much unheard of. Might just be having a good day, who knows. it probably wouldn't make a difference that quick.
But yer any british doctors been talking about it? would be great to know as i think it's even more of a no no here than in the u.s.a

I am from the UK and I have smoked it in the past, but that was before Crohns came along. I have had no access to it since, and I am really intrigued to try it again, obviously there are legal implications of course. But I am really curious about it.
Cause I have heard it works miracles!

Ye! All the stuff i'm reading about it makes it seem silly not to do it. I think if the uk ever does come round to it, it will still be a struggle to get it prescribed for crohns n colitis... we've got an elderly soap character on coronation street using it for arthritis, he he so who knows.... The reason i stopped it in the first place was because it started to give me anxiety.... but at small amounts i think the only bad side effect is its a little bit harder to wake up in the morning. :)

funny I just saw a clip on the news last night about sativa....something being cleared for use here in Ireland. its for Parkinson's and is derived from cannabis.
yes I wish I could talk to my doc about using it but im afraid they wont take me seriously anymore or look at me like a pot head. its way to taboo. I use it and it really helps me. plus I don't drink so I need something to relax me.
