Sigh, the merry-go-round carries on.
Back on pred after having my bad pain\flare a month ago, on 40mg, reducing by 5 each week.
It has helped immensly and my tummy is fine now (can break wind at will hahah!...i know this isn't a life skill but its a fun novelty to have the confidence to)
Anyway, at week 5 of this now, and the usual suspects have made themselves known, acne on my face and chest, raised heart rate, so feel a bit anxious, greasy skin, and the dreaded weight gain.
This is the most annoying part, as i had a total life change a year ago, and lost 10KG, i looked so much better, felt so confident and happier in my life.
However i have put on 3-4 KG in the last 4 weeks, i know this i partly due to water retention and the fact my appetite has increased with the steroids so i am picking through the day, which i have tried to stop.
I met my new GF 6 weeks ago, and we seem really happy together, like teenagers, and we seem great for each other, but i am constantly worried she wont like me if i get bigger\acne, though she has said this is madness as A) she had acne at school, and B) she likes me, not the idea of a 6 pack hehe, though i will never have a 6 pack lol.
but i have explained why i am a bit depressed anxious and she has been so supportive, as i exlained all about my Crohns when we started dating, and she says i am worth any hassle..aww.
However today i just snapped, went to Tesco and bought Muesli, rye crackers and baked crisps and wholemeal pitta breads for work lunches.
Its what i was on during my weight loss last time, and i am damned if i am putting all the weight i lost on again because of some stupid white tablets.
Gym tonight will help, hopefully when i drop to 10mg and finish some of the weight will subside anyway, but i would like to not put particularly large amount on again.
The most annoying thing about the tablets is i feel 'full' all the time, as in i am full of fluid presing against my tummy, chest and head, but still catch myself nibbling food..ggrrr.
Ah the double edged sword, Crohn's almost vanishes, but feel fat and bloated all the time...
Ah well, i am over half way through the tablets, and i have my birthday off on friday! 29, almost 30..eek. My Gf and i are going away to a log cabin for the weekend so will be good.
