Appendicectomy Anyone????

Has anyone here with Crohn's had an appendicectomy? I just had one a few days ago. Doctor thinks Crohn's had nothing to do with it, but I'm a little suspicious. He is doing a biopsy to see.

Anybody had one before? If so how did your Crohn's do afterward? Worse? Better?

I've been pretty hopitalized 3 or 4 times since 1997 with Crohn's but, a round of prednisone and antibiotics has always gotten me back on tract. I take 2 grams of Pentasa daily and that is it.

I did. And it made my crohns flare like nothing before. A flare I am still trying
to get into remission. It has been 2 years since my appendectomy. This delayed
my crohn's diagnosis, making things worse, but I think Crohn's had everything
to do with it.

I had an appendectomy before my Crohn's diagnosis. They originally thought it was my appendix causing the problem. Since then, have had more stomach troubles than ever before.
