I was wondering if anyone has tried apple cider or umeboshi plum vinegar. I just had a lot of umeboshi plum vinegar tonight and hope I won't be paying for it.

Never tried the plum vinegar (or heard of it) but I have tried apple cider and most other types of vinegars. I've never had a problem with any of them remission or no.

I loved the umeboshi vinegar on my chicken last night!!! One blog of a raw vegan I read claims umeboshi tea is her #1 goto during a crohns flare up.

Had to laugh when I saw this post.
Last week I had what I thought was very bad reflux - so gulped half a cup of apple cidar vinegar - which was a suggested home remedy.
Turns out my gallbladder was the problem - so hardly surprising that I vomited it back up rather promptly!! :)
Not sure I will ever touch it again - nor will I self diagnose again!!

You had acid because of your gallbladder? What was wrong? What symptoms?

There was a gallstone stuck - blocking the gallbladder.
I just mistook the intense pain for reflux.
I was way off the mark.
Gallbladder is being removed on Tues.

I use apple cider to soak grains to make them more easily digestible. Works like a hot damn for me, so no problems. Never heard of plum vinegar!

Ume vinegar is great! You shouldn't have trouble with it, unless you were chugging it straight from the bottle. (Or using it to chase whiskey. "Ume-backs?" I made myself gag.)

Ume plums are pickled Japanese plums that are actually not plums, but some form of nectarine, I think. The pickling process gives them all sorts of antibiotic/antifungal properties. Look up a recipe for "macrobiotic ume tea"--easy to make. But yeah, the vinegar is the brine from the pickling process. I'm not sure if it's even vinegar at all, really--I think itmight just be salt and different leached nutrients. At any rate, I hope you're doing okay! But I'm definitely a fan of this stuff.

I really love it but cut it out because im not sure if it's aggravating my inflammation. I'll try it again when im better.
