I havn't been dx yet, I am still going through the ropes. My symptoms started about a little over a year ago. I would get intestinal pain that would come and go. No real bouts of diarhea( I mean I may have had a couple soft stools here and there, but that was about it). My stools were usually normal to soft and once a day. There were times also that it would be like a bunch of hard little poops all stuck together too, and sometimes hard mixed with soft. But again, I would only go once a day to once every other day. Well back in March I ended up having just severe pain all throughout my intestines and feeling really crampy and sore 24/7. I lived on the couch with my heating pad. My gastro doctor seems to think IBS. He did not at the time feel I should do a colonoscopy due to the risks and my other health issues. Well from March till the end of June I was miserable. Then it went away for like two months almost ( during this time I was sick with a cold and bad allergies). Well now out of nowhere last week I started feeling really bad again. I sill go once day to once every other day , but the PAIN is bad. I feel crampy feeling all througout my intestines and have that feeling like I am going to have to go or that i am going to get the big "D" at any moment. I have tried some different meds that the GI doc gave me like librax( did not work), also elavil( helped some, but made my bladder pain horrid so I had to stop it), donnatol( makes me constipated). My GI only did stool tests and blood work which at the time was norma. I just seen my regular doctor and she did more blood work yesterday. She did my VitD level( i am sure a good as I take supplements daily) and also my VitB12, and C-reactive protein. So I will have to get those results next week. My gastro doc is out of town and I do not see him until Nov7th. I am thinking about asking him to just do the colonoscopy to see what is up. I am sorry, I have a hard time believing this is all IBS. I know a few people with IBS, and they are not is all this pain, and theirs is not 24/7. I also feel way worse after I have a BM. My intestines feel sick and icky after I go and all crampy feeling. With IBS your suppose to feel better afterwards.
Does this sound like possible crohn's?? I am very worried. I also have other health issues : interstitial cystitis, chronic UTI's, fibromyalgia, possible undifferenciated connective tissue disease, grade 1 heart murmur, rash under breasts that itch like crazy, supposed IBS etc...
