Awkward question about 6mp/humira and herpes

Hey, ya'll! So this is a little awkward, but bear with me. I've had herpes for about a decade. I've never had problems with outbreaks. Ever. I went years without any symptoms at all. But ever since I have been on 6mp, I've had a constant outbreak - lasting for up to a year. I'm also on humira now in combination with 6mp. It makes sense that these medications would cause my herpes to flare because, well, they suppress the immune system. But I did not expect it to be a near constant outbreak to last months or years at a time.

I stopped the 6mp for a few months due to it affecting my liver, and the symptoms down there completely disappeared. When I started 6mp again, I started having problems again.

I'm taking valtrex daily, but it is not helping.

I would like to keep both situations under control. Anyone have experience with this?

I don't have experience but I would alert my doctor if he doesn't already know.

Same as Ron said, inform your doctor if you have not already done so. Hope you can get this sorted soon. Best wishes
