azathioprine Side affects - Help

Hi Everyone,

Had a major flare up and went into hospital for three weeks. I didnt respond much to steroid IV. I had infliximab and got better. Left hospital on pred, pentassa etc. have infliximab infusions every eight weeks but at my last check up was put on azathioprine about two weeks ago as I really want to come of steroids.
Problem is I am feeling so sick and getting really bad headaches and I just hate it. I dont know what is worse having a flare up or feeling constantly sick. I also fee like I am going to faint sometimes.

Can anyone offer any advice? :depressed:

Hmmm, don't hold me to this, BECAUSE I don't trust my memory, and neither should you, BUT I VERY VAGUELY recall reading a post about the problems of mixing AZA (tho it might have been 'metho' ) WITH 5-ASA. Anyone recall this? I'll do a search, see if I can find that posting (if it exists at all). If I do, i'll try to pop back here with a 'QUOTE' from it. If anyone else remembers it, or can correct me if I've got it ass backwards, PLEASE jump in. OK? Thanks
