B 12 injections

Not much to say about it in detail really....

It is simply a shot your doctor gives you (or you can give to yourself). The needle is small and thin and its injected into your shoulder usually. It sends the vitamin directly into your blood stream. It's all over in about a second. Barely noticeable shot.

You may have some mild soreness or pain at the site of injection for a day and some folks may or may not have diarrhea, nausea, upset stomach for a day or so but that RARELY happens. Majority of people go about their day as usual and don't even remember getting the shot at all besides an increase in energy levels.

Nothing that warrants a call to the doctor or a visit to the hospital unless you feel you are having an allergic reaction. But the common side effects mentioned above (if you even experience them at all) go away as your body adjusts to receiving the injection.

How frequently you get it is determined by you and your doctor.

That's it.

Emily I have been getting monthly b 12 shots for 10 months. They don't hurt! I am a big baby about needles, so I know.. my b12 has gone from 126 to 268. After I got it this month I finally got the wonderful energy back! It's so great after a very long time of feeling tired. Hope this helps.

All the above is pretty much dead on - one thing to consider is having your doctor show you how to do this yourself. It actually is quite simple to do, there is next to no pain with it. It means you won't need a trip to the doctor and the disruption and cost that goes with it. It may not be for you, but it is worth looking into.

Hello, I give myself my B-12 shots Bi-Weekly 1mcg. To be honest I don't notice a difference. I started out taking it once a month, after no results in added energy it went to bi-weekly, still no change in energy. I stay completely drained, its like I need a bump of speed to function (totally kidding lol) but for real, maybe everyone is different, I have a B-12 deficiency so idk. Just my input.

NSF and emily - it took 10 months of monthly B12 injections before I noticed the increased energy levels! I didn't think it was making a difference at all, but was very low when I started, and it is totally worth it! I have a niece who is an RN, lives very close, and she gives me my shots.

my niece also gives me that shot. I don't hurt, if it did I would smack her. lol not really.

i haven't noticed any energy level incress yet, been taking them for 4 months.
