Back on Pred.....feet in agony???

Hi, my little girl is back on Pred and her feet have been very painful throughout the night and this morning. Is this a side effect? She has been on Pred several times before but never had this foot pain!!! Not able to get hold of her consultant until tomorrow. Thank you in advance for any replies! X

Hey Runninglady,

I know that muscle pain and cramping is a side effect and I have read of others experiencing leg and foot pain during the day and often at night.

Does she also have swelling in her feet? This seems to be a not too uncommon side effect too.

I hope it is only a one off! Good luck!

It's been over a year since she's needed Pred last and I think I have forgotten what it's like.....i don't think there's any swelling! The pain seems to have eased now but I did have a fright this morning as I haven't seen her like that before!!

Sorry no idea about the Pred - never had to use it so far. However at age 6 it could just be growing pains. I have a friend who's daughter has terrible pain in her legs and feet on occasion - funnily enough, mainly at night!

Hi,
Dusty sounds right on the ball. Naturally!
My 3 yr. is still undiagnosed. She has leg pain but hers is because of EIM symptom.
I feel for you. I know my girl has a lot of pain with hers. It's hard for a mom to watch.
I hope the nights get better.
