she's been having chest pains/esophagus pains this weekend.. damn hot dogs :voodoo:

and while there's no VISIBLE blood in her poops, they are starting to smell funky again (nurse during our hospital stay 2 weeks ago said GI bleeds have a definitive smell - is that right?? )..



I feel bad staying home, but Dad can handle it, and I HAVE TO work tonite..

/whew/ all is OK - likely just indigestion. they couldn't find anything wrong..

one good thing out of this visit?? her hemoglobin is up to 12.5 (or something - it's above 12).. 2 weeks ago, what put her in the hospital was a hemoglobin of 3.9

Does your GI use fecal cal test? It's not invasive and can answer your nagging questions about blood in the stool! Glad she's okay!

Glad the results were good. J used to get chest pains all the time - especially under stress. She hasn't had any for a long time now. Wonderful news about the hemoglobin!:dance:
