Does anyone else feel terrible in the mornings? Mornings for me consist of pain, diarrhea, and inability to eat. As the day progresses I feel better, except for the occasional overall bad days. I have had crohns for over 4 years now and even when I am in remission (which is very rarely) I still experience this. Anyone else with similar experience?

I ALWAYS allow for at least an hour of potty time every morn.
I've had this disease for almost 20 years, and it never fails, mornings are my worse.

I have found if I try to lay in bed for a little when I wake up I don't make as many trips to the bathroom.

Mornings have always been to worst time of day for me. I'm glad that I don't have any classes until the afternoon this semester. :)

i always feel worse in the mornings.. unless i am generally having a bad day.

i always feel sick in the mornings and have a sore tummy and make numerous trips to the toilet and i can never eat in the mornings no matter how much my tummy may want food

i do the same as mike these days. i have to leave for school at 8 and i make sure im up at 6 just so i have those 2 hours to "sort myself out". and i do notice that things seem to get better as the day goes on.

I guess everyone is effected differently. I usually don't have bad mornings. One or two trips to the "potty" in the a.m. and I'm typically okay. If however I eat breakfast, I usually fall apart for the entire day. I try to only eat 1x a day, which would be dinner. I've gotten to the point that I fear having abdominal pain all day long and the pain comes on right after I eat, so I avoid eatting.

I guess if you know mornings are tough, it's a good idea to allow for some extra potty time as the other folks suggested. This way you won't be extra stressed dealing with the bathroom issues and time constraints, and I'm sure you know that stress is never a good thing for this disease. Good luck!

My mornings are the worst, well, except for my nights. (duh)
It's probably due to my eating schedule.
I go 3 times in the hour between getting up in the morning and leaving the house.
Then I'm usually good for most of the day, I often don't go at work all day.
I have a breakfast drink for breakfast, so that doesn't make me go, I have lunch, and by the time that's ready to "come out", I'm back home again. Lunch must be coming out before bed and in the middle of the night, I eat a huge dinner and that must start again with the 3 times in the morning.
I think that was more info than I really wanted to type.

Mornings are rough for certain. It takes a few hours for the nausea to go away. I'm usually okay during the afternoons and then things start to crank back up by bedtime.
